Are your products available for wholesale?
All products from Mountain Trail Designs, LLC are available at wholesale discounts to qualified retailers and merchants. Please contact us if you would like to carry any of our products in your public retail offerings.
How strong is your heavyweight cotton webbing?
The cotton webbing that we use in our products is manufactured by one of the largest national webbing manufacturing companies here in the United States, and is rated as their most durable and strongest-per-width. The tensile strength for the 1"-wide webbing is 710-pounds. When you compare your pet's weight to the tensile strength of this webbing, you can easily have a service ratio of 5-to-1, 7-to-1, or even 10-to-1.
Are your products available in stores?
Our products are primarily available online. But, they are available in limited locations at pet boutiques, vet clinics, and kennels that have acquired our products through our wholesale program.
Are your handles and leashes washable? If so, how?
Our handles and our leashes are both completely washable. To avoid damaging your machine washer or dryer with the metal hardware, we recommend washing them by hand with a mild soap/detergent. Wrapping the handle and/or leash in dry towel for a while will extract most water; after that, just hang them up until they're ready to go. If you do try the machine, we highly recommend placing the handle and/or leash in a padded wash sack and then monitor the cycle to avoid any issues.
How is a cotton leash different than other materials?
It's kind of like comparing a great pair of jeans to a pair of polyester pants. It's just feels great. And just like your favorite pair of jeans, the leash just gets better with use and washings. Plus, the cotton fiber will decompose in the landfill where a nylon or polyester leash will still be there hundreds of years from now.
How do I adjust the traffic handle?
You can position the traffic handle anywhere you choose along the length of your Grizzly leash. The size of the handle is also adjustable. The two slides (tri-glides) of the traffic handle are just like those you would find on a camera strap, or a ladies handbag, or on a gun sling. Simply push in towards the slide with the webbing strap to loosen the slide's grip until a loop pops out from the slide, and then work the webbing through the slide until you have it where you want it. It's that easy!
Where are Mountain Trail Designs' products made?
All of our products are designed, cut, sewn, and assembled right here in the United States. The final point of assembly and quality control is done here at the Mountain Trail Designs office. Because we care about our sources, we acquire our materials from companies owned and operated on U.S. soil, and we inquire our vendors about their process. Some of our vendors do operate facilities overseas, but whenever possible we try to get the domestically manufactured supplies.


What is your purchasing process?
We follow a straight forward standard procedure for online stores with the help of PayPal - the secure outside payment system we have chosen for handling the transactions. Once you have chosen the item to purchase, you just need to click the "Add to Cart" button to go to your Shopping Cart page.

You are now in a "secure session" (https) so you can proceed to completing your purchase with secure peace of mind. If you already have a PayPal account, you are welcome to select the "PayPal Check out" button. But, you do not need a PayPal account to make the purchase. You can choose to check out as guest by clicking on the regular "Check Out" button and begin entering your information. If you ever find yourself having difficulty with the process, please feel free to give us a call.

Do you charged sales tax?
We are required by law to charge and collect sales tax from all of our Georgia (U.S.A.) retail customers. If you live in a state or country outside of the U.S. state of Georgia, you may be required to submit a sales-and-use tax to your local government.
What kind of credit cards do you accept?
Because we process all of our online orders through PayPal, we can accept all major credit cards such as VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. A PayPal account is not required; you can checkout as a guest. And if you do have a PayPal account, you can also pay with the funds in your PayPal account. It's that simple!
Can I pay by check or money order?
You are welcome to pay with a check or money order. If you choose to mail in your payment, please understand that your shipment may be briefly delayed until the funds are verified. For in person purchases, payment by check is taken on a case-by-case basis.
Do I need a PayPal account to make a purchase?
While we do process all of our online orders and invoicing through PayPal, you DO NOT need to have a PayPal account. Your payment process will be treated as GUEST through PayPal, and you will receive the same high level of security and peace-of-mind that comes with all PayPal purchases.
How do I a know purchase through your website is safe?
Mountain Trail Designs never sees your credit card or bank account information. All purchases made through our website are processed through PayPal. PayPal is one of the largest and most respected online payment processors. PayPal handles all of your financial information using encrypted technology of the highest caliber. That's our promise!


How much is shipping?
All U.S. domestic retail orders over $35 will receive free shipping. For orders under $35, the vast majority of U.S. domestic orders will ship for $6.10. Because we use Priority Mail from the United States Postal Service, we keep shipping charges much lower than UPS or FedEx. Large volume orders, like for our wholesale customers, are reviewed and quoted on a case-by-case scenario. International orders vary according to the country of destination. You are welcome to place an item into your shopping cart in order to see a price quote for shipment to your destination.
How are your products shipped?
We ship our products using the most cost-effective, trackable service currently available, "Priority Mail" and "Priority Mail International" from the United States Postal Service. Our products are packaged in recyclable cardboard boxes provided by USPS, which are made here in USA. Plus, all of the padding materials we use are also recyclable or reusable!
Can I track my order?
Absolutely! At the time that we package your order and print the postage, an e-mail message will be sent to you with the TRACKING NUMBER details. You'll be able to track your package through the USPS system directly.
How long will it take to receive my order?
We love every order we get, so we take every order seriously. Most orders will leave our facility within 48 hours, usually less. Once the package is in the hands of the "Priority Mail" system, U.S. domestic orders will arrive at your door in 2 – 3 business days (Monday – Saturday, excluding holidays). International orders are pretty quick too, with most orders arriving through "Priority Mail International" in 6 – 10 business days, plus however much time that may be required to clear customs in your country. Remember, you can track your order!
I live outside the United States, can I place an order?
International orders are truly welcome, including those from our U.S. service men and women serving overseas. Since all payments are handled through PayPal, we can accept 26 currencies from 203 countries and markets. If you place an order with us, and we identify an issue with your international order, we will contact you directly. If we cannot solve the issue, we will issue a prompt refund.


Do you offer a warranty?
We love our products, and we check each item as we prepare it and as we package it. Should you receive a product from us that does not meet your expectations in regards to appearance or craftsmanship, please return it to us for a full refund within 30 days of first receiving it. A refund will be issued on items received back in new condition based upon our refunds policy. But due to the application of the product(s), once a product has been placed into active use, we do not have control over certain things such as damage to the product caused by abuse, misuse, allowing your pet to chew or bite on the product, excessive wear, or by using the product with a pet that is stronger than capabilities of the product. Should upon receiving the product in its new condition you determine that it does not meet your needs, please contact us immediately for a refund.  SAFETY FIRST!  As the owner and handler of your pet or service animal, you are responsible for the safety and well-being of you, your pet, those persons/pets around you, and the personal property that you encounter.  Please do not use the product if it does not meet your needs, your pets needs, or if it has become worn past its point of usefulness.
